On Nails

I miss doing my own nails.

I can’t even remember the last time I had a manicure and pedicure. The daily laboratory reports that I was required to submit made me soooo busy for me to even have enough time for relaxing and regular visits to the salon.

I promised that I would give myself a pedicure after taking a bath this afternoon, but then I was too lazy to even find the pouch where my mom keeps all her nail cleaning materials.

Why the nonsense article on nails?

A batchmate of mine in DLS just had a manipedi… JEALOUS much.

I just cut my fingernails and I like the feeling of texting and typing on my keyboard with short nails. So yeah, I’ll keep them short from now on. =D

Stress, stress and more stress

With all the stress I’m trying to deal with right now, I am afraid that I might suffer severe acne any time soon. I am happy, but then when I am TOO happy, I start to think of things that I’m not yet done doing and all the backlogs and lessons that I have to go back to.

Going out and being ‘petix’ is too much of a temptation to resist. My responsibility in the sorority is also something that I should prioritize. The Deltan Month is only a few weeks away and we can already feel the pressure. Anyway, I am looking forward to the activities we have in store for everyone. I’ll post the pubmats here when I get the file.

Learning Sign Language

 Playing safe is probably the most unsafest thing in the world. You cannot STAND still. You must go forward.

 We had the pictorials for the Deltan Exhibit at the UP College of Law this morning. We were to choose one word from aslpro.com (an online dictionary of sign languages) and make a quote out of it.  I was unprepared and not quite sure of the word i have chosen. But thanks to the power of internet and Google, i was able to find a quote for the word that caught my attention the most. 

 So what about life insurance leads? Do i need that at my age?

Blemish slemish

   one sister of mine is complaining on the increasing blemishes and pimples that are appearing on her face.

During the last day of the bar operations 2 weeks ago,she kept on asking me on the best acne treatments available in the market. She was whining and restless and kept on complaining on how ugly she is. (see photo and comment if she’s ugy or not). I kept on assuring her that she’s not ugly and all she needs is enough rest and to stop stressing out on things  so that zits would stop appearing on her face. I even recommended beauty products such as Pond’s whitening creamand i even told her that Jiao Li (a chinese facial cream) worked on me. 

Di’ba she’s pretty naman? =)

Call for papers :)

The UP Delta Lambda Sigma Sorority, in celebration of its Social Consciousness Month, will be having a Call for Papers project, with the theme “Portraits of the Filipina: Of Womanhood and Nationalism” from July 27 to September 25, 2009.

All UP Diliman students are encouraged to submit poems, essays and short stories, either in English or Filipino, for a chance to win a cash prize and be included in a publication by the UP Center for Women’s Studies and in the UP DLS’ newsletter and Annual Deltan Scroll.
