I’ve only spent a short amount of time in Manila but its clear to me it’s a wonderful land. Anyway, I’m just commenting here because I’m researching blogs about the Philippines and found your site on google. If you can share any ideas on places to try when in Manila then I’d love you to share them with me. Happy Holy Week!

Since I was a kid, my parents and my teachers tell me that vegetables rich in Vitamin A are good for the eyes. My mom would force me to eat carrots and would tell me that I am not allowed to leave the table unless I finish my food.
Anyway, I just found out recently that Vitamin A has its acid form that is usually used for acne treatments and even for leukemia. Tretinoin is available in cream or gel form sold by Roche under the brand name Vesanoid. It is also available in generic form. It is commonly used in the field of dermatology for the treatment of acnes, used in hair loss treatment and a component in most anti aging cream and stretch mark treatment and works by increasing the production of collagen in the dermis.
Home remedies for acne
Sunday, March 21, 2010
I remember studying herbs found in the Philippines when I was in elementary school. We were asked to memorize their scientific names and their uses. Our country is rich in natural resources and there are lots of cures that could be made out concoctions from these medicinal plants (so just imagine the torture of memorizing all of them only to find out that the teacher will only ask one or two questions about it).
Medicines are very expensive and sometimes even hard to get (some of them are controlled drugs). One particular kind of pills that is too expensive for me to afford is those for acne treatments. But with all of the herbs that you can buy at a cheaper price (you can even find some in your own garden), you can make home remedies for acne. I don’t know how to make one, but as soon as I find out how to, I’ll post the recipe here.
on acne breakout
Thursday, January 14, 2010
Of all the acne treatments available in the market, which is the most effective? I don’t have any acne breakouts (and I hope I won’t encounter it in my lifetime) actually, but I am somewhat curious of why these treatments are expensive and only available to those who can afford the hefty price of vanity. Over the counter medications are now available, but are you willing enough to risk thousands of pesos for something that you are not even sure that would work on you? Yes, they could give assurance and ‘testimonials’ to make their customers believe that their product is the most effective and cheapest available medication in the market, but they couldn’t guarantee that it would on everyone.
