Medicare Plans — Is There Such A Thing In The Philippines?
Friday, September 10, 2010I am not really sure if the Philippines offer Medicare Plans for senior citizens or people with disabilities like the United States of America does. Well, frankly speaking, i do not have much confidence in the budget the governement allocates for the Health Sector (is that the right term?) in our country.
In the USA, Medicare Plans are given to citizens who are 65 years of age or older, and to those people who are suffering from diabilities and have permanent kidney malfunction.
I am not really sure about it, but is it true that Senior Citizens are now required to pay tax annually? Really now. If that were true, where will they get the money to pay for their taxes, if they have retired already and the pension they receive monthly is barely enough to meet the costs of their medicines and other basic necessities? Tell Me.
