How relationships end

I heard from a friend once that someone who will cheat on her/his boy/girlfriend just to be with you will, sooner or later, cheat on you too…

But experience showed me a harsher truth that even the most loving, loyal, and intellectual person can make the same mistake.

So why do we cheat?

There will be a point in our lives where we are going to meet, get swept off our feet, and unwillingly fall for someone else. And somehow, we are eventually going to find out that the emotions we start to feel are agonizingly uncontrollable. We then start to feel doubtful of ourselves and curious of this new “feeling” that seem very foreign, but very nice at the same time. Finally, we start to forget… well, want to forget, that we have existing ties, promises, and commitments.

Now comes in the big hurt.

Often we are overcome by this fleeting emotion of “kilig”– the thrill it begets really has a way of clouding our decisions in life…

So we choose the new.

Dream House

I just realized how expensive it is to buy your own lot and build your dreamhouse on it.

Of how many years i have to work and save money just so i could buy the materials needed along with the labor and miscellaneous expenses. 

Of how cute the selection of  floor tiles are and how confusing it really is to choose which one you really really really like.

Of how long it will take just to build the foundation and walls of your soon to be home.

Of how many ideas would come to your head before you could decide which design to choose.

Of how I can’t imagine how i would like my dream home to look like.

Of how long i should wait before i can finally afford to havbe my own house.

and of how i can imagine who i want to grow old with but know… it’s a dream that’s impossible to happen.

taking care of your skin

I know i don’t have wrinkles yet, but i am interested in trying thhese beauty products in the market that claim they could make wrinkles disappear in just seven days — which i doubt is true. 

So anyway, i was watching this Olay commercial (featuring the original Us Girls) and told my sister i might buy one and try it. She told me i was too young to use the product. 

My grandma keeps on insisting that i use moisturizer before i sleep to take care of my skin —  i say i’m too lazy to make it a ritual of mine before going to bed. The result? Unwanted pimples and blackheads for turning a deaf ear to my lola. 

Can anyone suggest a top wrinkle cream that i can use? Or for my mom, just to see if it works.

My Models =)

I’m Bernee’s official hairstylist during my stay in Naga. I’ve been styling my cousin’s hair everyday, since I got here. I do because I’m bored, her hair’s long and I just love dressing up little girls. I love to see them all made up.

He’s right. It’s more fun and exciting to have a girl as your panganay. It’s easier and much more fun to find clothes for them that you could mix and match, colorful clips for their hair and cute little shoes to match their outfits. 

I’m not saying that I want to have a daughter of my own right away… I will have children of my own — in due time. =))

Ang pinakanakakainis sa lahat ay ang mga taong ‘know-it-all’ na kung makapagsalita ay akala mong dapat na silang sambahin dahil sa mga nalalaman nila.

Mga simpleng bagay ginagawa nilang komplikado.

At kung makapang stereotype pa sila ng mga tao, akala mo perpekto sila. Kung makapag badmouth sila sa kapwa nila, akala mo mga anghel sila. 

Nakakainis ang mga taong may pinag-aralan, pero kung umasta ay parang hindi edukada. Akala nila lagi silang tama. Porque ba nakatapos ng kolehiyo sa isang maganda at kilalang unibersidad ibigsabihin may karapatan na sila mangmata?

Cell Phones

   It’s almost a year since i bought my cell phone. And i am proud to say that I bought it with my own money. I was choosing between Sony Ericsson and Nokia but since the former is too expensive for my budget, i chose the latter instead. I purchased my Nokia6120 classic for 8,000php which included a 2gig memory card and other accessories. 

 I am thinking of buying a new cellphone early January but, cell phones (models) are fast becoming obsolete these days. New units are being released every month. So i guess i should just stick with my old phone and save enough money for a high end model.

After Enng Week, i promise i’d allot more time in updating my blog. 

Iba’t ibang klase ng girls

1.    Pa-conyo- sila yung super vain na kala mo everyday is “foundation day.” Magaling mag-ingles, hindi umiinom ng house water sa fastfood at kung magbihis e kala mo parating may party. Sila rin yung aakitin ka, pero hindi bibigay….agad. Kailangan ng matinding humor kung talagang trip na trip mo sya iuwi.

2.    Top-of-the-line sosyalera- Sila yung mga pinanganak na may gintong kutsara sa bibig. Lumaki sa aircon, straight English kung magsalita pero mahilig din silang magmarunong na magaling silang mag-Tagalog pero ang sama talaga pakinggan. Di nakakarelate sa mga kanto jokes, nagtatawanan  na ang mga tao di pa din nila nagegets yung joke. Lumaki raw sila sa kalye playing street games. Pero alam nyo kung ano yun? Street hockey, soccer, baseball, etc. Pffft! Batang kalye nga. Mahirap abutin. Pero kung masusungkit, pwede rin! 

3.    Feeling. or Illusionaries, mga mahilig mag-ilusyon na magaganda sila at may sinasabi sa buhay. Pinsan si ganito, kilala si ganyan, may lupain sa hibok-hibok para ma-impress lang ang kausap. Sila ata ang tinutukoy ng Parokya sa kanta nilang, “Silvertoes.” Madaling kausap at minsan, isang sabi lang, gora na yan… walang paliguy-ligoy pa. 10/11 ang drama, sa sampung sinabi labing-isa mali. Dagdag-bawas magkwento kaya ingat lang lalo na kung kiss and tell sila.

4.    One-of-the-boys. Sila yung “ideal bestfriend.” Cowboy ba… Pwedeng biru-biruin, masarap kasama sa inuman, naiintindihan ang kalokohan at kaberdehan ng kalalakihan, madalas gumamit ng “tsong” at “pare” pag kausap  mo. Pero sila rin yung hindi  nagsasalita sa totoong nararamdaman nila. Ingat din ang mga boys sa mga ganitong girls- lalo na pag nahuhulog na pala sa inyo. Kawawa sila pag nasaktan. Hmmmm…

5.     Girlfriend-material. Sila yung sa unang tingin pa lang ng boys, abot-langit na ang respeto. Sila yung mga simpleng babaeng matipid ngumiti, makikipag-kwentuhan pero hindi may mystique pa rin. Na-c-curious ang mga lalaki kung anong meron sa kanila that they keep on looking for more of that person. Minsan ang hirap kausap dahil pabago bago ng isip. Usually, sila ang naliligawan, sinusuyo hanggang mapa-oooohh… OO.

6.    Man-hater. Sa una, mapagkakamalan mo silang tibo dahil sobra silang “boyish.” Defense mechanism nila yun dahil galit sila sa past experience nila with an EX. Takot na daw sila masaktan. Mahirap din silang getlakin dahil matatakot ka sa kasungitan nila. Ang hindi mo alam, kulit lang ang katapat.  Bibigay din yan. Pero syempre, sa mga lalaki, dapat armed ka with sympathy, timing and humor.  Kahit hindi ka masyadong pogi, basta meron ka nito- malaki na ang chance mo.

7.    Pa-Girl.  OA sa pagka girl, mayat-maya ang retouch inaabot ng 30mins sa CR kahit nasa mall kayo suklay ng suklay ng buhok, mayat maya nananalamin. Super freak-out sa kaarteyhan. Malakas mag react ng “yuck!! Or eewwww” kapag nakakarinig ng mga maseselang usapin. Di nila gets o maapreciate ang ibang mga bagay bagay. Di mo alam kung makitid lang talaga utak nila o talagang slow sila makagets.. Basta ang hirap nila ispelengin!!!  Ang masama eh kung 30 yrs old na pagirl pa din…  awts!

8.    Super Friendly. By the word itself, friendly siya sa lahat. Napakabait, Napakadaling i-aproach napakalawak ng pang-unawa on things. Masarap hingan ng payo. Pero minsan namimisinterpret ng iba. Aakalain ng guy na may gusto sa kanya si super friendly. Lalo na sa pagmimisinterpret sa kanila ng girls dahil pinagchichismisan sya ng masama, siguro kinaiinggitan kasi. Ang hirap din minsan ng masyadong mabait.

9.    Doble-Kara.  Eto yung matino or mataray pag normal, pero pag nakainom eh bigla na lang sasayaw sa ibabaw ng mesa, or iiyak ng walang malinaw na dahilan, or magiging robot na hindi na alam ang nangyayari, gumagalaw lang pero di nagrerespond sa kapwa, meron ding biglang nang aaway pa. Nakakatakot sila painumin kasi nakakahiya sila kasama pag nalasing.

10.    Ms. Know-it-All.Gusto nilang i-impress ang lahat ng tao- especially ang mga kalalakihan, thinking na ma-g-getsung nila ito. They think na mas matalino sila sa guy at kaya nila itong paikutin. Pero wag ka. A good guy can recognize a smart girl. Boys, ingat sa mga tulad nila dahil yung pagka-Know-it-all ay pwedeng mauwi sa paninira sa ibang tao at mga buhol-buhol na kasinungalingan.

student loan

I have tried student loan once — when i told my parents i would pay for my own tuition when I enrolled 2 summers ago. I enlisted in a 3unit subject just to satisfy the 24unit rule implemented by the college. Aside from paying my own tuition, i also have no one to rely to for my daily allowance. It was onehelluva summer. I bring pack lunch everyday so that the only expense i have to spend on for the day is my transportation allowance to-and-from Laguna.

LOLz. My parents still paid for my loan, anyway. hahaha. 

For One More Day

This book, which was written by Mitch Albom (author of Tuesdays with Morrie) moved me to tears. I was reading the book on my way home to Laguna, and i actually cried in front (well technically, besides pala) of the other passengers. I didn’t have a handkerchief with me, so i looked stupid with my red nose and puffy eyes. People must’ve thought that i was crazy or shallow for crying over a pocket book.

Well anyway, the story is about Charlie ‘Chick’ Benetto, a former baseball player who encounters problems with his career, family, finances and seeks refuge by being an alcoholic. It was the last straw for him when he found out he wasn’t invited to his daughter’s wedding. He attempts suicide — and fails — and sees his mother who died 8 years ago.

Chick returns to their old home and spends the day with his mother, wherein factors related to his difficult childhood and strained relationship with his father are revealed to him. His mother assists him in getting his life back on track and resolving his issues. The day ends when he regains consciousness in the arms of a police officer. 

The story ends when  the author described how Benetto quit drinking and reconciled with his family. At the end, Maria is revealed to have been the narrator of the story.

From what i got from the ‘net, the book was adapted into a made-for-television movie, which was aired by ABC on December 9, 2007.

Migraine :(

Though many people have tried explaining to me what outer banks beach rentals are, the information just won’t sink in to me. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t interest me, so i really don’t give a damn if i get it or not. And i don’t think it’s available here in the Philippines, anyway. So why would I bother learning on something that wouldn’t concern me? 

Anyway. I have three hours of vacant time to kill, so here i am posting senseless entries. i’m bored, actually. My head is throbbing with pain, and i want to go home to sleep the pain off. 

Another Boring post

After visiting random blogs, I realized how boring and uninteresting my blog is. While their blogs are colorful and full of pictures, mine’s dull and well.. I usually don’t post pictures since it takes up storage space and lots of time to upload. While their contents are very informative and exciting to read, mine’s boring and usually monotonous. 

 I’ll try to improve my entries; make them more uhhmmm… lively? Simple?

Anyway. I was thinking, if my blog was a movie, people would be racing towards the exit signs out of boredom. Sheesh.  

I need to grow up

You can’t count on me on grown-up things that includes loan, interest rates, life insurance lead and the like because:

1. I’m still a college student

2. obviously, i’m unemployed and things like insurance don’t matter to me.. yet.

3. i don’t give a damn about these things

4. I’m too young to care about them anyway (I know i’m already 20, but for me, that’s still youngLOL)

5. though i hate to admit it, im still freakin’ immature

Hahaha. I still have years ahead of me and i’m trying to enjoy youth as much as possible. 

Shop til i drop

Gadgets are being well-developed these days. They are fast becoming obsolete, as more and more new technology are being launched in a span of few weeks. These electronics are tempting to buy, but with my undergraduate (still studying) and unemployed status, i really can’t afford to buy any of these expensive gadgets today. I’m thinking of purchasin an Apple itouch with my father’s credit card, but i doubt he’d let me. Hahaha. Howell. The idea of shopping til i drop is a new motivation for me to graduate ASAP!

Deadly sem ahead

It’s the first day of classes and i still don’t feel like going to school. I haven’t had enough rest in the past few days, and apparently many people are starting to notice. I’m still not yet done with registration and i’m seeing a deadly semester looming ahead. I’m taking ES13 and ES12 at the same time. With 5 weeks ’til Engineering Week and daily practice for Indakan, I’m sure that ahead of me are many sleepless and haggard nights (for that, this calls for eye wrinkle cream!)

Last sem went well, thank God. Unfortunately, i failed ES13 and because of that, i wasn’t included in the list of college scholars. Too bad.

On Gaining weight

I did nothing but eat and sleep during the sembreak. A week and a half in Naga meant additional pain-in-the-neck pounds in the weighing scale, and unfabulous plus inches in my waist line. It’s a nightmare! After weeks of trying to lose the extra punds i gained in the past few months, here i am again gaining more weight than what i am capable of losing. 

What i need right now? Lots and lots of exercise to lose these love handles *pinches her bilbil*. No. Make that lots and lots of instant and quick-acting fat burners. Argh.
