Cleanliness is next to OCness

I’ve always been OC (obsessive-compulsive) when cleaning the house, which I think I have inherited from my mom. She’s the kind of person who won’t stop cleaning until she achieves her definition of spotless clean. The floors would be shiny and slippery, no spots were missed, everything is in order and no drops of water in the kitchen would be seen.

When I’m the one assigned to wash the dishes after dinner, I always see to it that I would scrub the sink, sweep the floor and even polish our kitchen faucets (we have two kitchen sinks), after washing the plates. So I tend to nag my siblings whenever they leave their glasses on the sink after drinking water. And obviously, my OCness is not even close to my mother’s keen eye on cleanliness. Even with her poor eyesight, she’s still able to see that small drop of water I failed to mop.
