What’s so special about women’s lingerie? Why are they popular amongst women and men alike?

 They are designed tobe visually appealling and erotic, usually made of silk or thin materials. Until before  the 21st century, the primary function of lingeries were to define the shape of a woman, alter their shape, hygenic purposes, or for modesty. Back then, the designs were usually bulky and uncomfortable to wear.

Nowadays, some designs also serve as outerwear.
