Enjoying my Summer vacation

It’s my 4^th year to take summer classes. Every summer, I have to spend a month of sitting in a classroom while listening to my professor talk endlessly for hours. TORTURE.

Everyday, I am bombarded with information that I have to understand and remember.

Exam every week.

No breaks in between.

Walking from one building to another in the heat of the sun.

The last time that I had a fun summer vacation was when I graduated from high school. My life revolved around sleep and food. THAT WAS FUN.

I can’t even recall the last time I went to the beach to relax and enjoy my vacation. NO MEMORY.

1 month. 4 weeks. 20 days. 6 hours everyday. Humdrum. Bored.

I AM SORRY

I’m wondering how I managed to survive a week without breaking down or started shouting to the world how I f*ckin’ hate my life and the people who continue to make it more miserable day by day. I have eaten a lot lately (thus the bumabakat na bilbil over fitting clothes and the ala-amazona arms and pata) and haven’t really talked to anybody ng matino. I was always in a sour mood last holy week and spent most of my time alone contemplating what I did to deserve too much torture in life. Had I been a swindler in my past life? Or worst, a criminal? But I quickly pushed those thoughts aside. Because if I had been that bad in my previous life, then I would have been one of those critters people hate and fear.

I am still pissed off with everything that happened. But I couldn’t COMPLETELY blame THEM for everything that has happened and the decisions that they made because I know that partly, it was my fault to let things come to a point where everything got so complicated and they just wanted to escape from it.

I apologize to my friends who had to endure my being mataray these past few days. I’m sorry to all those who I haven’t been much of help when they needed me. I am sorry for being irresponsible and breaking trusts that I should have handled with much, much care. I had been a pain in the ass to some. I should have seen sooner that I was already being a burden and that keeping their distance from me is the only way to make things easier. I AM SORRY.

Bilang galing China yung pinsan kong 10 years old, pumunta mama and brother niyang 8 years old samin dito sa Laguna para sunduin sa airport kagabi si Bernee. Kaninang hapon, nasa kwarto kaming lahat. Nilalaro si Baby Lance.

SCENE 1:

BERNEE: Mama, ilang taon ikaw nanganak?
TITA YATZ: 26. Baket anak?
BERNEE: Bakit si ate lovely ang aga?
*nagtinginan  kaming lahat*
BERN: No comment ako. Hahahaha.
TITA YATZ: ako din.

SCENE 2:
BERNEE: Paano nabuo si lance?
*tinginan ulet kaming lahat*
BERNEE: Ah. Siguro lahat ng kinaen ni ate nabuo kaya naging baby.
***Huwaw. BEST THEORY EVER! Hahaha.

SCENE 3:
Tita Yatz: alam mo ba, si andoy sabi niya sakin pag gusto daw naming ulet magkaroon ng baby sa bahay huwag na daw kami mag-ampon. Gagawa na lang daw sila ng baby ni Justine.
***Di’ba nakakabother? 8 years old ganun na ang naiisip??!

SCENE 4:
TITA YATZ: Si andoy big boy na. Haha. Sabi niya sakin, ‘Alam mo ba mama, pag nakakakita ako ng girl na nakahubad, tumatayo pututoy ko. Nakikita ko pa yung ugat’
*** Again. Nakakabother
TITA YATZ: Sabi pa niya sakin, umalis na lang daw siya nung nakakita siya ng nakabathing suit noong nagswimming kami. Nahihiya daw siya kasi baka makita nakatayo pututoy niya.

getaway

While everyone’s posting their pictures of their latest summer beach getaway, I’m stuck in UP for the best summer vacation ever. 

While everyone’s busy planning their next getaway, i am studying for an exam. 

While everyone’s sipping margarita and getting drunk, i’m drinking coffee so that i could stay up all night.

While they’re sun bathing, i am walking around the campus to get to my next class.

 While they’re reading magazines and relaxing, i am reading books and cramming.

While they’re taking their time in thinking of the where to go next (international or local), i am wishing that the time would go by faster everytime i’m in the classroom.

While they’re enjoying their summer vacation, i am thinking of beaches, las vegas hotels, countries abroad, local scenery and just plain relaxing that i wish i could experience SOON.

Yesterday

REMARKABLE THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY:

-          how I managed to get an MST subject. Bio1. Mataas usually ang demand sa subject na yun. Himala na nakakuha ako. 3 units down, 4 more to go.

-          Bumibili kami ng shake kahapon ni ahjh sa LKB. May lumapit na bata, tumatakbo.

BATA: Ate! Ate! Pahingi naman barya. Di pa ako kukamakain. Gutom na gutom na ako.

BERN: Sorry wala akong barya eh.

BATA: Sige na ata. Gutom na po talaga ako.

BERN: Wala nga akong barya.

BATA: Oh ate ilibre mo na lang ako ng shake. (Sabay GRIN)

Hahaha. Wala lang. MAbenta lang sakin yung hirit nung bata. Ayos humirit eh.

-          Tumambay kami ni Ahjh sa Acad Oval para magusap. Madami nagjojog. May nakita                                                                                                                      kaming brown na aso na nagjojog katabi nung isang jogger. Di namin pinansin. Maya-maya bumalik na naman siya. Papunta the opposite direction. Mag-isa. Napansin ko.

BERN: Ang cute oh. Nagjojog din ung aso.

AHJH: akala ko kasama niya ung isang jogger kanina. Akala ko yun ung amo niya.

BERN: awww. Hehehe. Ang cute. 2^nd round na ata niya yan.

It’s when you get used to and unluckily, you can’t get it out of your system anymore.

So before its too late, you have to set in mind that sweet thoughts are never guarantees;

Cause when that someone suddenly stops, you’ll end up longing for something you can never have again… =(

Prayer is the only answer

I have done everything to pass this semester. I have deprived myself of sleep and social life just to give more time to my studies.

Some of my exams failed and finals week was horrendous. I lacked sleep and proper nutrition, interaction with other people, and time for myself.

Now when everything seems gray and impossible, prayer is the only answer.
