Ano Ko? Clown?

My schedule’s been packed since the start of July and now, I’m trying to juggle my time between acads, writing articles and my so-called social life. 

I have been compromising the last one since I know I can survive without it. But every now and then, I try to find company with my sisters and teh boyfie. Whenever I can, i spend time with them eating dinner or just hanging out. However, most of my time is spent on sleeping and studying for exams and laboratories. Startign this week, every week is filled with exams and deadlines and since I’m the head of the SR/DLS sportsfest, i need to squeeze that in on my available time too.

 I just finished my MetE146 exam and on saturday, i’ll be having my Mete17 (dreaded Thermodynamics) exam. I’m still trying to understand the most incomprehensible concepts on material thermodynamics and still trying to answer the probset our prof gave us. 

If this continues, i will be needing wrinkle removers soon!

College life. Hell.

Extended Laptop Warranty

My Pichu’s acting up again and since i bought it 2 years ago, I am now starting to wish that there is an extended laptop warranty that i can apply for or something because right now, 

1. I can’t afford to have it repaired
2. I can’t afford to buy myself a new laptop
3. And I am heavily relying on my laptop for writing articles for money

Mani.Pedi

I can’t remember the last time i went to the salon to get a  quick trim (haircut!!!) or a mani/pedi treatment.

Sam (a friend of mine) was the one who noticed how long my fingernails already were. I borrowed her nail cutter to cut my nails after our MetE17 class. During my ES12 class, I couldn’t help but stare at my toenails wondering when I last had a pedicure. 3 or 4 weeks? Don’t get me wrong ha — i keep my nails clean, but i just can’t remember the last time i had the cuticles (or the ingrown, if any) removed.

After class, I decided to drop by Sonny’s Salon (near iheartfroyo in Maginhawa St.) to FINALLY get a manicure and pedicure treatment. I also wanted to avail their footspa promo but since it was already 12noon and i still have a PE class at 3, i opted for the mani/pedi only.

Sorry for the sabaw post. This is an impromtu blog post and i only have 20 mins. left to prepare and go to my PE class at the gym (it’s still raining and i’m crossing my fingers, hoping my volleyball class’ cancelled). 

Tick Toc

I’m being a spoiled brat lately, throwing on tantrums when i do not get what i want. I’m not really sure why — PMS, maybe? 

Good thing teh boyfie’s kinda patient so even though im being a b*tch to him sometimes, we don’t get into fights.

THINGS THAT PISS ME OFF THESE DAYS:

• - people passing by you and shouting, ‘Ano ba yan. Walang madaanan’. You could have just excused yourself, woman. Haller?
• - i can’t receive the ball properly during volleyball games.
• - random things Allen does that ticks me off yet, i’m not sure why.
• - random people i find unpleasant
• - my dad making sermon na wala sa lugar. Well good morning to you too, pa. 

The one above is only a partial list of things that annoy me. Anyway, will blog as soon as im done with exams and probsets. Oh school.. Why do you keep on stressing me out?

LOL. If I know that i would definitely pass the subject then i guess i won’t be needing best acne treatments for the pimple breakout. =))

My 5-month Old Samsung Phone

I thought I was about to bid farewell to my 5-month old Samsung Jet last week. My phone was not charging and I was already panicking because I had lots of meetings to attend to, lots of people to text and simply put, I WILL NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT MY PHONE.

Good thing my phone was still under warranty so i would not have to worry about spending anything if any parts needed to be fixed or changed. Before buying my Samsung phone last February, I checked the worldwide web for negative reviews on the model. There were a lot of users who complained of not being able to connect to YouTube and some had call features issues. They said the phone on the other line cannot hear them during a phone conversation. Well I say its because of their stupidity. You see, the phone model is touch screen so any slight contact of teh screen with the skin might activate the Mute button. So despite the negative reviews they had on the phone that i wanted, I still bought it at my own risk.

So far, I’ve been enjoying my phone’s company since with its 8gig memory card plus its 2gig internal memory, I can save my favorite series and watch it whenever I’m bored. I admit i do miss my old phone with the keypad but Samsung Jet has a lot to offer that my old phoen can’t.

Anyway, I’m glad my phone started charging later that night so I did not have to go to SM North and wait for weeks to have it fixed.

Frustration And How Its Killing Me

I was so depressed today that I cleaned my room, waxed the floor and even scrubbed and cleaned the bathroom. I’ve lost appetite and even though I haven’t eaten anything the whole day, the pang of hunger is incomparable to the feeling of losing my self confidence.

Contentment Does Not Exist

I do not believe in the power of diet pills when it comes to effectively losing weight. Yes, it does help in reducing body weight quickly, but what about the side effects? Because I’m An Addict

I bought new pens! Yes — new pens! In addition to the 50+ colorful pens that I have right now, I bought the pens out of impulse and aside from that, I also bought a pen for my dad for his 44^th birthday. He’s currently taking up law so I guess buying him a fountain pen is just perfect. I even had his name engraved on it to make it more personalized.

I really wanted to buy the more elegant one but since I only have a limited budget for his present, I settled on the not-so-expensive Parker fountain pen that I saw in National Bookstore this afternoon.

Anyway, I think the reason for my too much liking on colorful pens is because of the pens I lost back then. Well you see, I wasn’t able to keep a pen back in high school. One day I’ll buy a new gel pen, the next day I would misplace it somewhere, leaving me pen-less and penny-less.

So I guess a pen is nothing compared to an allergy relief, eh?

The Shrek Fairytale

I know. I know. Shrek premiered weeks ago and I am such a loser for watching the movie only now. Blame it on my busy schedule and delayed payout. Anyway… Well, that was touching. It’s a typical fairytale only that, the protagonists were ogres.

The funny tale of two ogres falling in love with each other taught me that sometimes, we do not get contented with what we have and ask for more. We do not see that we already possess all the finest riches this world can offer us — friends, family, love, but instead of being happy and appreciating the blessings in our lives, we take it all for granted and ask for more. We do not need Rumpelstilskin to grant our wishes rather, we should just be happy with what we have now. We always think of what would happen if only that one incident in our lives did not happen, instead of thinking what we would have lost if we missed that one single moment we could never have again.

You know the line, ‘don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til its gone’? Its one helluvah fact that we still do not fully understand.

I’ll keep this blog post short because now i know that contentment is the key to happiness. Don’t you ever forget that. =)

I’m A Coffee Addict ergo, I’m A Drug Addict

   With all the sleepless nights there are in preparing for exams and reports, i have been caffeine dependent since i started College in UP. I had to rely on coffee to keep me up in the wee hours of the morning when studying for an exam or cramming a report. Bacchus (an energy drink) has always been a constant companion of mine during hell weeks. It kept me up while answering exams and helped me get through days where I walked the hallways of the College of Engineering like a zombie — unresponsive and lutang.

On Wedding Bells And Wedding Vows

Weddings have always been one of the happiest events yet, the laughter and smiles always come with tears and goodbyes. It is another chapter in everyone’s lives where parents will bid farewell to their babies, bachelors saying goodbye to their wild and carefree lives and, women preparing their selves to the challenge marriage brings.

It takes a lot of planning to make the celebration memorable and a perfect ‘Kodak Moment’. The venue, priest, wedding invitations and caterer should be confirmed months before the wedding date. But, the stress from planning is eventually rewarded with the woman/man of your dreams promising to stay with you in sickness or in health, for richer or poorer, and til’ death do you apart. As soon as the ‘I Dos’ are exchanged, there is no turning back.

Anyway, my wedding vows won’t happen anytime soon. LOL. I’m too you for that kind of shiz and besides, I still have a lot of challenges to conquer for my dreams to come true.

Let Me Rant… Just This Once

From now on:

• i’ll stop asking on your whereabouts
• ill stop asking on what you’re up to
• ill stop worrying
• ill wait for you to do the first move on updating me if you’re okay or what

Because the reason that Im your girlfriend but i still don’t have the right to know at least where you are is enough to freakin’ make me mad. I may be the most patient and understanding girlfriend you could ever ask for but this is something that is way beyond my tolerance level because the bullshit that YOU ARE ALL up to is f*cking stupid and just plain childish.

YOU knowing the fact that i won’t tell on anybody whatever you tell me during this kind of situation but still choosing to leave me in the dark is one thing i cannot let go.

FINE. You asked for this. From now on, until THIS ends, I won’t text you until you text me and I won’t ask to see you until you want me too. Get it?

Father’s Day

I think my dad loved the gift I gave him last Father’s day. I was actually thinking of giving him a new Polo or something, but knowing my dad and his keen eye in fashion (he’s not gay or anything, he’s just particular on the brands, design and aesthetics), he might not like whatever I’ll give him. So instead of taking the risk, I bought a book on FIlipino artists and the history of the Philippine Art in Vargas Museum last week. I wanted to buy the book on the works of H.R Ocampo or Caesar Buenaventure but since it is waaaaay out of my budget (the books were 3,000 effin’ pesos!), i just settled with the Pananaw instead. 

Papa’s reaction when he opened his gift was, ‘Mahal nito ah?’. LOL. If only my payout came earlier, I could have bought him something nicer. Oh well. His birthday’s coming up in 2 weeks naman and this time, I’m planning to give him a Parker Pen with his name engraved on it since he already started taking up Law.

(anyway, gadgets for father’s day would have been nice too but with my limited budget? Nah. Next time!)
